Ole Miss Football: Grove Grinder, Bama, Adida$ and Yapping Mutts
Ole Miss football had a rough weekend. Of course, we can expect TSBU to be oblivious to their own plight when they are more worried about us.
Naturally, I’ve spent the majority of my time in the past two days eating crow from the Bama game. Yes, it was very ugly. I’m also well aware of the fact Ole Miss football is not where any of us want to be at this point in the season. Of course, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what the problems are with our team.
The past year or more has been especially bad for the Ole Miss football program. We all knew it was going to be bad for us. However, none of us expected what has happened thus far. The entire NCAA fiasco was predominately the result of a team with little brother syndrome.
Jealousy and the overwhelming hate for Ole Miss is what drove State College to fabricate lies to the already shady NCAA investigators involved with the case. Oh and let’s not forget, there is a civil suit involving Rebel Rags. The case is going to shed much more light into an already corrupt NCAA investigation and the trail of lies from both Leo Lewis and Kobe Jones.
Of course, when things couldn’t get much worse for Ole Miss our former head coach Hugh Freeze resigned. Now with us sitting at 2-2 we can see the results on the field. For me, a 66-3 loss to No.1 Bama was the worst-case scenario. The defense gave up over 600 yards with almost 400 of that just rushing alone. Honestly, I’ve never seen us look this bad. Thanks Bama.
Worried About Us?
Ole Miss Rebels Football
Now, after the arrests and continuing FBI investigation into college basketball there aren’t many folks sleeping very well in Starkpatch. No there is an amazing amount of worry over the ADIDA$ corruption investigation. They should be worried.
However, this hasn’t kept many of their keyboard warriors from throwing shade at Rebels after the Bama beat-down. Of course, I’m relatively sure the Bama bandwagon was overflowing Saturday night with moron and white.
Somehow I missed their huge wins over the Auburn Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs the past two weekends. Apparently some of the Mutts missed it as well.
I have no problem with some good-hearted trash talk. However, if you want to get roasted on social media the easiest way is to throw shade at an opponent over a beat down when your own team lost decisively two weeks in a row. Good luck with that Mutts. Honestly, neither team has any right to critique the other at this point.
As of today, Ole Miss sits at 2-2 and 0-1 in the SEC. They and State College 3-2 both have 2 losses. However, State College is 1-2 in SEC play. From the looks of both teams there is very little to brag about from either side of the in-state rivalry.
