Ole Hotty Toddy promised the grades for Ole Miss football in the Auburn game would be better than they were the last week. Oh they are much better!

With the Auburn game Ole Miss football fell to 2-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. Although there is plenty of work left ahead for a young Rebels team, they showed a dramatic improvement from the Bama game. The Auburn tigers are a really well-coached and talented football team. Of course, they are no Bama but they certainly have shown they are great on both sides of the ball thus far.

First, OHT inspires to be as positive as possible when doing the grade out. However, we want to be fair and not sugarcoat the obvious issues within the Ole Miss football team. Second, we are not here to bash players with the grades. We simply provide the grades based on the teams previous performance and our own observations.

Now, don’t let their record fool you. This is a very talented team. In fact, this team is one of the most talented teams I can remember from an athletic standpoint. These Rebels are very good athletes and will only get better from this point forward. They certainly improved this past week and there is a substantial drop-off in the competition within the remainder of the schedule. We can obviously expect to see these grades get better. For now, let’s look at the Auburn game.
