Come on, there’s no sense in beating around the proverbial bush. This defense is one of the worst many of us can remember. That’s saying something when you’ve been a Rebel for 50 plus years. There really isn’t any reason to sugar-coat the fact we have a terrible defense.

We all watched the same Ole Miss/LSU game and sadly we saw a defense once again under perform. I like coach Wesley McGriff and I know he is a good coach but there is something missing from this Ole Miss defense. This isn’t the same ‘Landshark’ defense we are used to watching play on SEC Saturdays.

This defense is full of very talented players, however they are being plagued by what can best be described as lack of fundamentals. Missed tackles and blown coverage plays have become the norm for this defense. When all is said and done it falls on one person and that is the coach.

Come on Crimedawg! With this kind of talent on the defense can you really blame us for expecting just a little more than allowing 593 yards of total offense from LSU? I mean they lost to Miss State and Troy.
