Ole Miss Football: Previewing The Ole Miss/Arkansas Game
The Hog Offense
Ole Miss Rebels Football
The Arkansas Razorbacks are missing the potent offense they’ve been used to seeing under Bielema in past years. Quaterback Austin Allen has been recovering from a shoulder injury the past couple of weeks and was listed ‘highly questionable’ for the Ole Miss game by Bielema on Wednesday.
This leaves Cole Kelly to once again lead the Hogs on offense. Kelly drew his first start against the Auburn Tigers this past weekend. At 6’7″ and 268 lbs Kelly is a formidable quarterback in the pocket.
Kelly has a cannon for an arm and with his size he is very hard to bring down in the backfield. Against Auburn he played pretty good for only his second collegiate start. Kelly was 15 of 26 for 163 yards passing. Of course, Auburn won the game 52-20.
The hogs do have other key weapons on the offensive side of the ball. David Williams and Chase Hayden are tied for the leading rusher on the team with 326 yards each. Wide receiver Jonathan Nance leads the Hogs in receiving yards and ranks 9th in the SEC with 402 yards.
