Although the Rebels are 3-0 the game against Georgia State wasn’t an easy one. The Rebels had to dig from behind to defeat the Panthers Friday night at The Pavilion in Oxford.

Ole Miss trailed 44-36 at the half after only shooting 42 percent from the field. It took a strong second half and adjustments to the Panthers defense to make the comeback win.

Junior Terrance Davis led all Rebels scoring with a 24 point effort. Davis also had 6 rebounds, 3 blocked shots 1 assist and a steal. Markel Crawford finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal.

Breein Tyree finished his night with 9 points, 3 rebounds and a steal. Center Bruce Stevens had 8 points with 6 rebounds and a steal.

Deandre Burnett had 7 points, 1 rebound and 6 assists while Devonte Shuler also contributed 7 points while getting 2 rebounds and an assist.

Center Dominik Olejniczak added 5 points with 2 rebounds,a block and an assist. Marcanvis Hyman contributed with 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and a steal. When this group plays good defense there is a really good chance they can create turnovers and accelerate the offense. They’ll have to be on their toes tonight against a Utah team which is also 3-0 on the season thus far.
