Charlie Strong

Charlie Strong is a proven coach with a 62-38 overall record. Strong is 3-3 in bowl games. There’s no doubt Strong has made the rounds as both an assistant and head coach.

Strong’s  first head coaching gig was as interim at the University of Florida in 2004. Strong coached only 1 game, the Peach Bowl which was a loss.

In 2009 he was hired as the head coach at Louisville where he coached 4 seasons and tallied a 37-15 record. Strong coached the Cardinals to 4 winning seasons going 7-6 each of his first two years. His final two seasons he had 11-2 and 12-1 records and was the highest paid coach outside of the SEC.

In 2014 Strong was hired by Texas where he coached three seasons and compiled a 16-21 record. Charlie Strong was then hired by South Florida where he has been one season and currently has a 9-1 record.
