Ole Miss football has a few spots opening up on the roster for 2018. These are just a few of TJ LSU Dad’s favorites whom a little exposure could help get a scholarship somewhere.

It’s no big secret TJ LSU Dad is a huge fan of the Ole Miss football program. It’s also no big secret he is a very good friend to OHT. If you’ve had a chance to catch some of TJ’s YouTube videos then you can easily see what I mean. TJ is a cool guy and very savvy when it comes to being a huge football fan. Of course, TJ is a LSU fan but he is also a fan of the game of the game of football.

TJ knows there are great kids out there who are deserving of a shot at a scholarship with a major program. Exposure and hype are a lot of what drives college football recruiting. The more a player is recognized the better his chances are of gaining a spot on a legit high-level roster. Of course, social media plays a huge part in exposure and hype and these are players who are certainly worthy of being noticed by high-profile programs.

The video above is of Shane Hooks. Hook’s is a 6’5″ WR/TE  which runs a 4.6 forty yard dash. I really believe he is faster because he winds up open a lot. Even when he is covered he has the instinct and skill to go after the ball and make the reception.

Hooks is a formidable receiver and could be another Evan Engram in the Ole Miss offense. The best part is he’s a smart player/athlete with a 3.0 GPA. This young man is a great player and deserves a shot on a premier roster.

Another great prospect is Gary Young of Carver High in New Orleans. Young is a pure specialist when he has the ball in his hands. As a PR/KR he could be deadly to opposing teams. With the special teams Ole Miss already has he could be a weapon for Ole Miss.

On the defensive side of the ball TJ has also pinpointed another really great high school in Julio Thompson. Thompson is a another senior in the 2018 class which stands out as a man among boys.

Thompson has had 33 sacks within his last two seasons. He is a ball hawk and stands by himself. This is a young man who also scored a 20 on his ACT so a great team would be getting another very smart player.

In Closing

Ole Miss football will have some valuable scholarships opening up in the very near future. It’s very important that head coach Matt Luke and his staff fill these openings with players who can fully appreciate an opportunity. These guys can and will.

Next: Nuke The NCAA!

Ole Miss football recruiting is going to have to work hard in the next few weeks to pick up the slack from an average season and the negative media. Coach Matt Luke needs players who know Ole Miss isn’t just a stepping stone but a destination. Just imagine how good it would be for Ole Miss to pick up just one or more of these players. Thanks TJ for your loyalty to Ole Miss, LSU and these future stars. Hotty Toddy!
