Ole Miss Basketball: Rebels Hoops Hammer Bradley Braves
Ole Miss basketball was hoping to make a run before beginning conference play. The Rebels hammered the Bradley Braves in The Pavilion.
This hasn’t been the season Ole Miss basketball fans expected from this talented group of Rebels. There has been inconsistent play which cost the Rebels a number of close games. Basketball is a game where the little things matter and nothing matters more than consistency.
Inconsistent perimeter play and inside scoring have been up and down and it showed in back-to-back overtime losses. The Rebels were able to add to the one game winning streak they established against TAMU-Corpus Christi by taking down the Braves Friday night. This game gives the Rebels a two-game winning streak going in the SEC opener on New Years Eve.
Of course, here at OHT we believe the stats tell the story of the game. Regardless of the final score there is always the other numbers which matter most. These numbers tell us the flow of the game and show our improvements or deficiencies. So let’s look at the 82-59 win against Bradley by the numbers.

Momentum matters in any sport and especially in basketball. Sitting at 7-5 entering a game with South Carolina is not good. However, entering an SEC opener on a two-game streak certainly helps.
Basketball on any level is not one which can be predicted. It’s hoops and anybody can win on any given day and especially on the college level.
