This will be the postseason opening bowl game for the SEC. Missouri is coming into the game with 7-5 record and the statistically best quarterback in the SEC. They will be facing the Texas Longhorns who are making the bowl with a 6-6 record.

The Missouri Tigers success against Texas hinges entirely upon the play of Drew Lock. Lock passed for 3,659 yards during the regular season while passing for an astounding 43 TDs. Of course, Texas has a relatively good defense and with the additional prep time we can expect to see a few wrinkles to try to counter Lock’s effectiveness.

I don’t believe the Longhorns can hang with Missouri in the end and the Tigers will pick up the 38-24 win. Kickoff in the Academy Sports+Outdoors Texas Bowl from NRG Stadium in Houston Texas is set 9pm CT on December 27. The game can be seen on ESPN.
