National Signing Day was huge for Ole Miss football as they signed a huge offensive lineman out of Bama and Auburn’s own backyard.

There was distinct focus for Ole Miss football during the 2018 signing period. The Rebels went after some of the top defensive players available. However, coach Matt Luke and his staff were able to pick up some great offensive players as well. One of those was offensive lineman Hamilton Hall.

For a team who was so focused on defense during the past recruiting cycle the Rebels did manage to pick up a really good offensive lineman. Hamilton Hall is rated as a 3-star by Rivals Hall has a Rival’s rank of 5.6 and is a beast on the offensive line. As the lone offensive lineman in this class you know he has to be a good one.

First, don’t look at Hamilton Hall’s size and immediately think great player. Watch his highlights and see the foot and hand work and you can see he is a future NFL offensive lineman. Yes, he really is just that good and then some. Hall is the prototypical lineman for the NFL. Of course, Hall has to develop within the tranches of the SEC first.

Out of Chamblee Charter School in Atlanta Hamilton Hall is the real deal when it comes to OL players. At 6’6″ and 325 lb Hall is well within the size needed to play in the SEC. However, Hall has all the tools to play far beyond the college level. Hall is very talented offensive lineman.

The offensive lineman was highly sought after by a number of big programs including Indiana, Louisville, Miss State and Memphis. However, his final decision was between Ole Miss and  Nebraska.

Where Hall Fits In

The Ole Miss offensive line is loaded if you look at how the Ole Miss staff recruited the 2018 class. Sure, they went after a few wide receivers and running-backs and of course they went after a top QB in Matt Corral. For Hall to be the only OL in this class speaks volumes towards the overall good status of the offensive line and the great talent level of Hall. Ole Miss fans will be happy to see Hall play this fall.

Next: Looking A Little Further Ahead

Once again coach Matt Luke and this Ole Miss football staff did a great job with this class. OL Hamilton Hall is a perfect example of this. Of course, OHT wants to thank Hamilton for choosing Ole Miss and welcomes him to the Ole Miss family. Hotty Toddy!
