Spring practice has begun for Ole Miss football and Rebels fans are getting excited over what could be a great spring for Ole Miss.

Ole Miss football has just kicked off spring practice and spring has sprung. Forget pretty flowers, we know spring is here when we see red and blue on a sea of green with a few white lines. Yes, spring football practice is finally here and this is huge for coach Matt Luke and his staff as they move forward.

Of course, there are plenty of interesting aspects to spring practice this year. One, head coach Matt Luke is in full control this spring. Just a year removed from Ole Miss offensive line coach, Matt Luke is now the permanent Ole Miss football head coach with his first full spring practice under his watch.

I’ve already spotted a few positions which we will all be focused on this spring. Among them are the defensive line. Of course, the DL has always been a strong point for Ole Miss football and will continue to be. However, when you subtract Marquis Haynes and Breeland Speaks from the equation it opens the line competition in the spring.

Of course, the defensive line isn’t the only position we are watching this spring. We are excited to see the running-back transfusion by Isaiah Woullard and JUCO sensation Scottie Phillips. Both are electric players who will immediately put competition in the position. Naturally, we are also excited to see Jordan Ta’amu back in action and we are anxious to see Matt Corral in red and blue.

Time For Some Shout-outs

There are many people who help make OHT what it is. Thank you to the Ole Miss fans who make all of this possible. Of course, with social media it makes it much easier to get our articles out.

One of those mediums is Facebook and the groups in which I belong. One of those groups is Rebel Nation. With over 14K members it is the best Ole Miss fan group on the net. Special thanks to Charles and the rest of the group for putting up with me.

Also I would like to give a shout out to Greg Pevey who is the owner/publisher of Rebel Nation Magazine. I appreciate the opportunity Greg has given me to contribute to the magazine. Of course, there are also the other contributors for the magazine which deliver some of the best Rebels commentary.

Naturally, I’d really like to thank all the contributors here at OHT both past and present. Some of the best articles are thanks to these guys. I appreciate all of your hard work to help make OHT what it is. Thank you.
