Ole Miss Football: Grading The Rebels In The 2018 NFL Combine
Jordan Wilkins
Ole Miss Rebels Football
Jordan Wilkins is coming off a senior season which saw him rush for an incredible 1,011 yards. That was within the SEC West so it’s evidence of a solid ‘every down’ running back. Wilkins is certainly capable of being the premier back in the right offense.
Wilkins has the size and speed to be a just a step away from a big gain or a score. He blocks well and is very adept at receiving out of the backfield. So what kind of results did we see from Wilkins at the Combine?
Jordan checked into Indy at 6’1 and 216 lbs. Although it was widely reported Wilkins ran his official 40 time in 4.71 Wilkins did NOT compete in the 40 yard dash in Indy. He will run his 4o at the Ole Miss pro day.
For a back with a quick step quick like Jordan Wilkins we know he can accelerate enough to create separation at the second and third levels. Wilkins came up a little slow on his time but can still be that big-time NFL running-back. Wilkins did have a vertical jump of 3.0 feet and 16 reps on the bench. Wilkins could have had a little better combine but overall did good.
Combine Grade: B
