Rod Taylor

Rod Taylor was solid as a offensive lineman during his time at Ole Miss. During his four seasons as a Rebel he played in 44 games and made 23 starts. During the 2017 season Taylor made all 12 starts at right tackle although he can play either side very well. Taylor made 7 starts at left tackle during the 2016 season.

At 6’3 and 321 lbs Taylor certainly has the size to be a NFL lineman. We know how well he has played against some of the best defensive linemen in the SEC and the country. Taylor uses his  hands and feet well and has enough explosion off the line to be a great run blocker at the next level. He is very solid as a pass blocker and stays with his blocks.

In Indy Rod Taylor weighed in at a slim 320 lbs. He participated in the 40-yard dash but didn’t participate in the bench press or 3-cone drill. Taylor had a very impressive 5.24 official time in the event with a 10-yard split of 1.79. Compared to the rest of the offensive linemen participating Taylor had one of the faster times in the combine and had one of the better combines.

Combine Grade: B+
