The NWO

There is little question among Ole Miss football fans this is the highlight of the Ole Miss offense. The NWO has established itself as one of the nation’s top wide receiver groups. Led by AJ Brown, who was not in the spring game, this position group is arguably the very best in the SEC and will once again spearhead a very potent Ole Miss offense. So what stuck out last Saturday in the Grove Bowl?

What stuck out is the ability of this position group to get open on the deep ball. Besides Brown the NWO is returning junior DK Metcalf, who went 6 catches for 64 yards and 2 TDs. Senior DeMarkus Lodge was also absent during the spring. All are very capable of great route running and creating separation in the secondary. With the addition of Demarcus Gregory in the spring this group has the potential to once again be the leading WR group in the SEC.
