Quarterbacks

Naturally we are excited over this position moving forward. Coach Phil Longo’s offense accents the talents of a very mobile quarterback and there is none better than returner Jordan Ta’amu. Ta’amu has the arm and the legs to be a constant difference maker on the offensive side of the ball for the Rebels. Last Saturday in the spring game Ta’amu went 12 of 20 for 190 yards passing and 2 TDs.

On the flip side Ole Miss football fans were eagerly anticipating the arrival of Freshman QB Matt Corral. Corral will be in the driver’s seat of the Rebels at some point. However, he had a lackluster performance in the Grove Bowl. Corral went 6 of 16 for 36 yards and 2 INTs. Welcome to the SEC Matt Corral.

What we know is Jordan Ta’amu is the quarterback who will lead the Phil Longo offense in 2018. We may have some question right now about the No.2 guy on the depth chart, however we know Corral is the real deal and he will catch up. The 2018 season will see phenomenal play from Jordan Ta’amu.
