No.3 Ole Miss baseball was back in action Tuesday night in the final midweek home game of the 2018 season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Ole Miss baseball entered the final midweek home game Tuesday night coming off a huge series win over LSU this past weekend. Arkansas-Pine Bluff entered the midweek match-up against the Rebels coming off a series loss to Texas Southern.

The Rebels wasted no time getting cranked up against the Golden Lions. Ole Miss scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st and 3 more runs in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 6-0 lead. Ark-Pine Bluff scored 1 run in the top of the 3rd to cut the lead to 6-1. The Golden Lions added 2 more runs in the top of the 5th to cut the lead to 6-3 Rebels. Ole Miss added 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th and 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th to extend the lead to 10-3 which was ultimately the final score.

The win pushed Ole Miss to 35 wins on the season and gives the Rebels a perfect record in midweek games in Oxford at Swayze Field. The Rebels only midweek loss came at the hands of Miss State in the Governors Cup at Trustmark Park in Pearl. Of course, midweek games are great for momentum heading into the weekend series and Ole Miss baseball has plenty of momentum right now. Naturally we will enjoy this win by the numbers.
