The postseason accolades are coming in for Ole Miss baseball and for Parker Caracci as he was selected as 2nd team All-American by Baseball America.

After an incredible regular season for Ole Miss baseball and a SEC Tourney Championship the accolades are beginning to roll in. Thursday Baseball America announced their selections for All-American and Parker Caracci was selected to second team. Caracci has been pivotal in the Rebels success this season and also in the postseason.

So far this season Caracci has 10 saves as the Ole Miss closer. Caracci has been very solid on the mound pitching 68 Ks on the way to a 4-2 record and a 1.85 ERA. When we say Parker has been clutch it is no joke. According to OleMissSports.com,

"Eight of his 10 saves, have come with the go-ahead run on base or at the plate. Eight of his saves have come with the tying run on base, including seven with the tying run in scoring position.~OleMissSports.com"

The more you learn about Parker Caracci beyond the stat-line it’s hard not to like him. He is a fan favorite among Ole Miss baseball fans and rightly so. So far this season he has been solid as a closer and continues to deliver on the mound for the Rebels.

The Jackson Prep standout was red-shirted his freshman and sophomore seasons and has finally found his mark as an ace closer. While at JP Caracci was instrumental in the Prep baseball team’s success. In his three seasons pitching at Prep they compiled a record of 102-8.

This season Parker Caracci has proven to be a relentless strikeout machine for the Rebels and will certainly continue to shut down games throughout the postseason.
