A number of Ole Miss baseball players have been extra busy since the season ended because of selections in the 2018 MLB Draft.
Even though Ole Miss baseball watched the season end Monday there has still been excitement for some Rebels. The MLB Draft began Monday night and college baseball fans started watching the names roll off the draft board. Junior RHP Brady Feigl saw his name called Tuesday in the fifth round of the MLB Draft as he was selected by the Oakland Athletics.
Feigl was the third Ole Miss baseball player taken in the 2018 MLB Draft. Sophomore LHP Ryan Rolison was selected in the first round by the Colorado Rockies Monday night. Also drafted was junior catcher Nick Fortes who was selected in the fourth round by the Miami Marlins.

Out of Chesterfield, Missouri Brady Feigl has been a solid starter for the Rebels. Of course, Ole Miss baseball has relied on Feigl for the past two seasons as the regular second game starter. Feigl in 2018 has been a dominant force on the hill. His record speaks for itself in terms of how good he really is. This season he posted a record of 8-5 with a 4.03 ERA but his overall record as a Rebel shows how potent he is on the mound.
As a Ole Miss Rebel Feigl has pitched 185.1 innings and allowed only 98 runs while striking out 186 batters. Of course, Feigl has been an invaluable tool in the Mike Bianco and Rebels pitching staff. Feigl has made 22 starts in 59 appearances and maintained a 14-7 record with 1 save and an overall 3.98 ERA.
Of course, we wish the best for Brady Feigl as he heads to the MLB. Good luck Brady as an Athletics pitcher and thank you for always being a Rebel. Hotty Toddy!
