This is an area of concern for many Ole Miss football fans. Sure, special teams is overlooked by many fans especially when we’ve grown used to a very good group. Now that Gary Wunderlich is gone there is a void left. It could always mean nothing or it could mean everything when it comes to the depth chart.

When you look at the Rebels depth chart there is only one familiar face, sophomore Luke Logan. Logan handled the kickoff duties in 2017 on a regular basis an did a good job. Logan also took Wunderlich’s place while the starter was out nursing a hamstring.Logan has a very strong leg and is easily capable of being the starter. However, he just hasn’t had enough in-game experience at the position.

One new face on the roster is freshman Patrick Nasiatka, a walk-on who also has a good leg. Either has the potential to be the starter at FG kicker but for now we really can’t be sure who will have to step into that role. Hopefully they’ll be                                                                                            solid.
