The 2018 Ole Miss baseball season may have come to a disappointing end but the postseason honors keep rolling in for some Rebels.
Even though the Ole Miss baseball season didn’t end the way we wanted it was still a great season. The mark of which is noted by the number of Rebels who were selected in the 2018 MLB Draft. There have also been a number of Rebels who have been receiving postseason honors and they keep coming.
Last week Ole Miss third baseman Tyler Keenan was tabbed with more Freshman All-American honors. D1-Baseball released its selections and Keenan was selected to the second team. This is the third Freshman All-American honor which the Clayton, North Carolina native has picked up for the 2018 season.

Tyler Keenan had an outstanding first season for Ole Miss baseball. Keenan finished the season with a .301 batting average and 9 HRs. Keenan also knocked in 38 RBI while racking up a .520 slugging percentage and a .391 on base percentage.
Besides having an outstanding season at the plate for the Rebels, Keenan was also very good in the field in one of the toughest positions. Keenan finished the season with .952 fielding percentage and only committed 5 errors in 50 starts at third base.
Keenan has also picked up Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game. Keenan was named SEC Freshman of the Week twice in consecutive weeks and also named SEC Player of the Week on another occasion. Keenan was a huge part of the Rebels success in the 2018 season.
