Ole Miss Football: No More Quarterback Controversy For Masoli In CFL
Former Ole Miss football player Jeremiah Masoli is showing out at quarterback in the CFL for the Hamiltion Tiger-Cats and he now has less competition.
Jeremiah Masoli was facing as much controversy in the CFL as he did on the collegiate level. However this time the former Ole Miss football player was caught in a quarterback controversy of sorts. Jeremiah is the starting quarterback for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and is having a great season so far. The Tiger-Cats are currently 2-3 in the 2018 season and now Masoli has less competition.
Sunday it was announced former Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel had been traded after just five games on the Hamilton bench. Manziel was expected by many fans to be the starter for coach June Jones but Jones stuck with Masoli. After 5 games Masoli is second in the CFL in a passing yardage and completion percentage. Masoli also tied the CFL record for most consecutive 300 yard passing games with nine games going back to last season. Now with the trade of Manziel to the Montreal Allouettes it appears Masoli is squarely in the driver’s seat for the Tiger-Cats.

Running the ball Masoli has also been great. In his career he has 163 carries for 932 yards on the ground. Masoli also has 13 career TDs with his legs. Those numbers are pretty good when you consider the dual threat ability and talent to the Hamilton offense in a very short time.

Good Luck To Masoli
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have 13 games remaining in the 2018 CFL Season. Of course, providing Masoli remains the starter and stays healthy he will have a chance to put up huge numbers. Good luck to Jeremiah in 2018. Hotty Toddy!
