No.5 Texas Tech Red Raiders

September 1 the Ole Miss Rebels will open their season with Texas Tech in Houston, Texas. The Red Raiders hail out of the Big-12 and have a really good team despite a disappointing 2017 season. Texas Tech is loaded with talent and have a good young head coach in former Red Raiders quarterback Kliff Kingsbury. Kingsbury likes to run wide open and score points in bunches and they will unless the Ole Miss defense shows up. Tech’s problems lie on the defensive side of the ball but she be much improved from 2017 since they are returning many of their starters.

Then there is the element of it being a serious road opener for the Rebels. There is no doubt the Red Raider fans will turn out in full force and try to take over the neutral site. If the Rebels can get up early and stay ahead it may lessen the effects of the rambunctious crowd but it will not be friendly in Texas on the 1st of September. This will be a tough test for the Rebels to kick off the season. OHT believes the Rebels could have their hands full in a shootout but find a way get the season opening win.
