Vanderbilt Commodores

November 17 Ole Miss football will hit the road to Nashville Tennessee to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in the 11th game of the season for the Rebels. Coached my Derek Mason, who enters his 4th season, the Dores are coming off a disappointing 2017 season which saw them go 5-7 with wins over Kansas State and Tennessee. Vandy was another team which was close in games at the end but couldn’t finish. In 2018 this Vandy team will be much betterand get some of those close games.

The Dores always seem to have a pesky defense and with the Dores being cross-divisional rivals to Ole Miss it seems they always play the Rebels tough. Now the Dores have a decent offense to go with the D and they could be dangerous for Ole Miss if the Rebels aren’t careful. Last season the Dores had a very good defense until late in the season. They are on the verge of putting it all together but it doesn’t happen this season.

I believe Luke opens Ta’amu up and lets him go and the Dores defense just can’t keep up. The Dores D had a difficult time with mobile QBs in most games last season. Factor in the weapons Ta’amu has with the NWO at his disposal and this has blowout written all over it. You may remember the Rebels sank the Dores last season 57-35. This season will be more of the same. Rebels offense is wide open and the Rebels win big in the Music City.
