No.8 Dexter McCluster, RB/WR
Dexter McCluster was a running back/wide receiver for the Rebels from 2006 thru 2009 and was lightening on the field. While at Ole Miss Dexter had 1,955 career rushing yards on 304 carries and 15 TDs while also totalling 1,703 receiving yards and another 7 receiving TDs. McCluster’s 1,955 career yards may only rank 10th All-time in the Rebels record books but his season high 1,169 yards in 2009 rank 2nd All-time and his 282 rushing yards against Tennessee the same season rank No.1.
McCluster, a favorite among Rebels fans and also known as Run DMC, was drafted in the 2nd round as the 36th overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. McCluster spent four seasons with the Chiefs before being traded to the Tennessee Titans in 2014. After two seasons in Tennessee he would find his way to the San Diego Chargers in 2016 where he would play only one season. Dexter is currently playing with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
