No.5 Peria Jerry, DT

Peria Jerry played defensive tackle for Ole Miss football from 2005 thru 2008 and was a beast when he was on the field. As a big defensive tackle he was a wrecking crew but was also very athletic for his size. In fact, in his four seasons at Ole Miss he played every position along the defensive line including defensive end. Peria made his name on the field and his name is also in the record books.

While at Ole Miss Jerry totaled 132 total tackles with 33 TFL while also registering 11.5 sacks. Peria also had 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 INT while play on the Rebels defensive line. Jerry’s 11.5 sacks rank 9th on the All-time sacks list. Peria Jerry was selected in the 1st round as the 24th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Jerry would play for the Falcons for 5 seasons before retiring unexpectedly in 2014.
