It wasn’t just an exciting weekend for Ole Miss football fans as the SEC went 13 of 14 in week-one. OHT figured we might as well do some power rankings.

Like Ole Miss football all 13 other SEC teams were kicking off the opening weekend of their 2018 seasons. Beginning Thursday night and running thru Sunday all 14 SEC teams had their kickoffs and with the lone exception of Tennessee were all successful. While most teams chose to fill up on their share of cupcakes, some SEC teams sought out higher rated opponents.

When it comes to our week-one power rankings the strength of opponent is obviously taken into consideration. There were five SEC teams which played opponents from Power-5 conferences which in most cases were higher ranked opponents. In those five games the SEC was 4-1 while the rest of the conference played teams these five would have easily beaten.

Regardless of who played who or where the teams fall in the OHT power rankings we all were able to see some great SEC teams with some very talented players in action. In all 14 games there were great plays made on both sides of the ball and some big time very physical hits. Of course, this was just a taste of what the rest of the season holds.

Before we jump in to week-one this will be a weekly periodical where we will take the strength of opponent and the cumulative stats to make the designations in the current weeks rankings. After seeing how well the SEC performed in week-one we can count on some very exciting football throughout the 2018 season. Lets not waste anymore time and begin with the SEC East worst to first.
