No.4  (18) Miss State (2-0)

Week two saw the Miss State Bulldogs pick up a big road 31-10 road win against Kansas State. While Kansas State may not be considered by many to be a top-tier program they are a very well coached Big12 team with some talented skill players. Thru two games the Bulldogs have produced 1,156 yards of total offense while allowing only 467 yards on defense. The Bulldogs look great on paper until you break down the numbers. In week-one against Stephen F Austin the Bulldogs had 618 yards with 398 yards passing coming on the arm of back QB Keyteon Thompson. Against Kansas State with the return of QB Nick Fitgerald the Bulldogs had a huge day on the ground but only produced 154 passing yards. Miss State has an outstanding defense and a great running game but passing will continue to be mediocre with the best Bulldogs QB on the sideline. Miss State will be back in action Saturday as they host the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns (1-0).

No.3 (1) Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0)

The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up a big 57-7 win over Arkansas State. The Tide entered week-two coming off a 51-14 win over Louisville in week-one. Thru two games in the 2018 season the Tide have put 1, 118 yards of total offense with 618 yards coming thru the air and 500 yards on the ground. On defense the Tide have allowed 659 yards giving up just 189 on the ground but have allowed 470 yards thru the air. Once again we see the talented offensive play-makers Alabama has become famous for but there is room for improvement on defense. Without a doubt Bama has a very good team but after just two games they haven’t really been tested. This Saturday the No.1 Tide open SEC play on the road in Oxford against Ole Miss (2-0).

No.2 Texas A&M Aggies (1-1)

Week-two saw the Texas A&M Aggies suffer a very disappointing 28-26 loss to No.2 Clemson. Despite the loss this was a huge game for the Aggies and showed what the future holds for coach Jimbo Fisher and the A&M football program. So far thru two games the Aggies have put up 1,259 yards of total offense with 685 yards coming thru the air and 574 coming on the ground. The Aggies definitely have a very dangerous offense but the defensive also looks good . Texas A&M has allowed 664 yards giving up 528 yards passing but only 136 yards rushing. The Aggies looked really good against No.2 Clemson and are just getting started. After two weeks there is plenty of room for improvement and Fisher will fix what needs to be fixed. With the talent and coaching A&M has they could easily shake up the SEC West in Fisher’s first season. Texas A&M is back in action this Saturday as they host Louisiana-Monroe (2-0).

No.1 (7) Auburn Tigers (2-0)

The No.7 Auburn Tigers followed up week-one with a 63-9 blowout win over Alabama State this past Saturday. This is a very strong Auburn team after two games. Gus Malzahn and the Auburn offense have put up 987 yards of total offense with 576 yards coming on the ground and 411 coming thru the air. The Tigers defense has allowed 603 yards giving up 454 yards thru the air and just 149 yards on the ground. This Tigers team is very well coached and extremely talented and could dominate the SEC West this season. Of course the No.7 Auburn Tigers will be hosting No.12 LSU (2-0) this Saturday.
