DK Metcalf, WR

Junior DK Metcalf is primed to have a great 2018 season and has already gotten off to a good start. Thru two games the veteran NWO member has pulled in 11 receptions for 174 yards and 2 TDs. DK is a very fast and is a solid space receiver with great hands and like the rest of the NWO he is a deep ball threat on every down. With the inexperienced Tide secondary we are likely to see Saban try to force the short pass on which Metcalf is just as dangerous and can turn a 7 yard catch into a 70 yard score.

We can’t be sure what Saban will do to try to lessen the effect the NWO has in the game. What we do know is if they double AJ Brown which is highly likely Metcalf will be in single coverage and he will make plays. Metcalf will get open and make some big catches even in tight coverage and with senior DaMarkus Lodge and sophomore Braylon Sanders likely splitting targets Metcalf could be the main guy for Ta’amu all night. Of course, it really wouldn’t surprise any of us to see more than one NWO receiver have big nights.
