Ole Miss Football: Five Rebels Who Will Show Out Against The Tide
Vernon Dasher, STAR
After last weeks first half performance DC Wesley McGriff and the Rebels defense is under a lot of pressure against Bama. The Rebels second half defense against SIU was much better and there were some big plays made. Three defensive players created turnovers in the second half. One of those Rebels defensive players was JUCO transfer nickle-back Vernon Dasher who had an INT return for a TD. So far thru two games Dasher has 10 total tackles with 7 solos, 2 pass breakups and 1 INT.
Saban will try to attack the Rebels weaknesses on defense and with the playmakers the Tide has the Rebels will have to be solid. Should the Rebels get pressure on the Tua the Tide passing game could create some opportunities for the Rebels to get turnovers. While the Rebels defense is highly out-matched on paper they will have plenty of opportunity to create plays. Of course, Vasher is just one Rebels defender we hope can have a big night against the Tide.
Ole Miss football hopes to roll the No. Crimson Tide tonight in Oxford in the SEC opener for both teams. Kickoff from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is set for 6pm CT and the game will be televised via ESPN. Good luck to coach Matt Luke and the Rebels and BEAT BAMA! Hotty Toddy!
