Longo, Offense Have Work Ahead

The Rebels produced only 248 yards of total offense against the Tide with 133 coming thru the air and 115 on the ground. We all expected Bama to have a good defense and they do limiting Ta’amu and the Rebels high-powered passing game and also Scottie Phillips and the run game. Ole Miss has a very good offensive line but had their hands full with the Bama D-line all night and gave up four sacks. Ta’amu was under duress much of the game with very little time to make throws.

The Rebels offense looked vanilla Saturday night was seemingly very predictable to the Tide defense. Besides the opening TD from Ta’amu to DK Metcalf there really was nothing really positive worth talking about. The good news is we can now put the Bama game behind us and move on. The bad news is Bama may not have the best defense in the SEC West. After Kent State the Rebels offense has to tackle the Bayou Bengals in Red Stick then every defense we face will be . Needless to say the offense has some work to do.
