Bad And Ugly

This was something most of realized about halfway thru the 1st quarter Saturday night while still hoping by some miracle it wouldn’t. The end result was indeed pretty ugly. Sure the Rebels are 2-1 now which is exactly where many of us truly expected to be at this time. However, we expected to be much better at this point. Now from what we’ve seen on the defensive side of the ball there is an incredible amount of work to be done in a short time or we could see more bad beats.

Ole Miss will host Kent State this weekend and then have LSU in Baton Rouge. LSU has a very good team and can control the line of scrimmage against weaker defenses. This defense is what lies between a winning and losing season. If McGriff doesn’t shore the defense up in a hurry we can expect a long and ugly season with some horrid losses. Hopefully McGriff can turn the defense around in the next two weeks.
