Ole Miss football is coming off a 38-17 win in Oxford this past Saturday and now the Rebels are headed to Baton Rouge to take on the No.5 LSU Tigers.

Well, it’s now week-five of the 2018 Ole Miss football season and the Rebels (3-1, 0-1) are headed to Baton Rouge to take on the No.5 LSU Tigers (4-0, 1-0). Ole Miss enters Death Valley Saturday night coming off a 38-17 win over MAC member Kent State while the LSU Tigers are coming off a 38-21 win over Louisiana Tech. The Tigers enter the SEC matchup heavily favored over the Rebels with the current line set Rebels +12.

Naturally the No.5 LSU Tigers have a very good team with 2 of their 4 wins coming over Top-10 opponents Miami and SEC West foe Auburn. Of course, the Rebels faced No.1 ranked Alabama in week-three and fell 62-7 in their first SEC game of the season. Coached by former Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron the Tigers have proven they have a great defense and can obviously play with anybody but have yet to face an offense like the Rebels.

The Magnolia Bowl is a huge series for both teams and this Saturday night matchup could be an instant classic like many in the long series. This game is considered by many Ole Miss fans to be the biggest rivalry the Rebels have even eclipsing the Egg Bowl rivalry against Miss State. While LSU leads the series 61-41-4 the Rebels and Tigers have had some great games over the years and the 107th meeting will likely be the same. Lets take a closer look at the Tigers.
