Ole Miss Football: Rebels Head To Death Valley To Take On No.5 LSU
The Tiger Defense
When we say this Tigers defense is very good it isn’t just lip service. This Tigers defense has been pivotal in the LSU wins this season and their numbers speak for themselves. So far thru four games the Tigers have allowed 1,341 yards of offense with 976 coming thru the air but allowing just 365 yards on the ground. The Orgeron defense has created 9 takeaways with 6 INTs 2 of which were returned for scores.
Right now the Tigers are allowing just 244 yards per game passing and 91 yards per game on the ground. The Tigers have some defensive stars of course. Junior LB Devin White is the leading tackler for the Tigers with 38 tackles. White also has 4.5 TFL, 1 sack, 3 pass breakups and 1 forced fumble and fumble recovery. Jacob Phillips has 31 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1 INT and 3 pass breakups. Grant Delpit has 22 tackles with 4 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 INT and 3 pass breakups.
