Find Your All-American

There aren’t very many opportunities which find an offensive coordinator with a player of All-American caliber. When it comes in the form of the best wide receiver in the nation then a coach is very lucky. Junior wide receiver AJ Brown is currently the No.1 receiver in the SEC and he is for a number of reasons. One AJ is a huge and very fast target for defenses to have to cover for an entire game.

When Brown is on the field there are obvious coverage issues for a DC to have to deal with. Most of this season AJ Brown has been wide-open and in double coverage. Personally OHT would like to see AJ used more downfield on deep passes and this week he should be. Despite putting up great numbers against both Auburn and South Carolina AJ wasn’t used effectively in the absence of DK Metcalf. The NWO should be plug and play so utilize the All-American downfield.
