Ole Miss football fans already know the answer and we know what the repercussions are for making a statement in the SEC and college football.

When it comes to Ole Miss football there are few of us who can deny there have been falters in the Ole Miss admin. However, how much of what Ole Miss Rebels fans have had to endure has been to a player sleeping on a coaches couch and an unpaid light bill? Not much. What is clearly apparent in the fact that former coach Hugh Freeze was on top of the world. Think about it.

Coach Hugh Freeze took down Bama in consecutive seasons which were also the only times Nick Saban has lost in back-to-back seasons. It makes anyone automatically ask “Just how much does Saban and Bama mean to college football?”  Apparently it means a lot because we know the ties which Nick Saban has to NCAA President Mark Emmert. Emmert hired Saban at LSU.

It’s Who You Know

There is an obvious bias when it comes to college football and the upper-tier programs. Come on, you can play connect the dots all-day and see there is an obvious Bama and NCAA connection thanks to past relationships between the powers that be. There is only one major player in the NCAA when it comes to football and Bama is and may always be the cash cow.

Enter Ole Miss who was facing Bama for the second time in two years and soundly beat the Tide in their own house. It wasn’t a pretty site while Bammer fans were on suicide alert yet still went on to win a Natty. The obvious ‘Bama Privilege’ is nothing which surprises any of us at fan level. We’ve see it numerous times over the years and honestly most of us really expect it. In the 2018 season it was rampant.

There’s Really No Denying

It has become very obvious to the rest of the college football world that Bama has enthralled some of the upper elite of the college football world to choose Bama. Look, by now we get it, there is an obvious difference between the U of A and every other team in America. Besides 151 national championships there is always that ‘Bama’ factor.

Related Story. Always Shady. light

It was there when Bear Bryant was the head coach and it’s even more prevalent now. In fact it is something which shouldn’t be existing in college football and that is an unfair and un-competitive advantage which has fallen mainly in the hands of the Crimson Tide in recent years. In fact, we watched as Ole Miss beat the Tide in consecutive seasons and wound up on NCAA probation. Hence the Mark Emmert ties.

You Have To Be Blind

Come on, if you haven’t already seen the obvious bias then you are either a Bama fan or Verne and Gary. If you have been a part of the SEC, and especially the SEC West over the years, then you have seen the obvious favoritism towards Alabama. It is very apparent and if you disagree then you already know the truth.

How Bama and Nick Saban have not been investigated is way beyond most Bammers thinking. Trust me, T-town is nice but not that spectacular and honestly your team really isn’t that good without the help of officiating crews and video review crews. It has been a problem for years and the rest of the SEC is forced to tolerate it.

The Morning After

Naturally this is the morning following the National Championship game between Clemson and Alabama. Of course the Clemson Tigers picked up the dominating 44-16 win over Nick Saban and the Tide. While I did watch the beat down and enjoyed it greatly there were no obvious bad calls made by the officials. However, it doesn’t negate the fact that Saban and the Tide used the SEC officials to get there to begin with.

The GOATS of Ole Miss. dark. Next

So while ‘Bama Privilege’ may not have prevailed in the National Championship on Monday night it is real and will once again have to be dealt with by those of us in the SEC next season. The SEC and NCAA should ask themselves, “If Bama is really that good then why do they need help within the SEC and from the NCAA?” Once again it all goes back to the money.

Is Clemson as dirty as Bama? I really don’t know but I do know we aren’t here to cast shade over the 2019 National Champions as they just rammer jammered the dirtiest program in college football. Congrats to the Clemson Tigers! Today college football and the NCAA are pretty fair. Hotty Toddy!
