Four Ole Miss football players finished out their college playing careers this past Saturday in St. Petersburg Florida in the annual East/West Shrine Game.

This past Saturday there were four former Rebels who played their last college football game as part of the East/West Shrine Game. Seniors Jordan Ta’amu, DaMarkus Lodge, Sean Rawlings and Zedrick Woods were selected to play in the annual game which pits some of the best college football seniors throughout the nation.

Over the past four seasons we’ve watched as these players gave their all for Ole Miss football and were key in the success the Rebels have seen on the football field. As of now all four of these players should be noted for not only what they’ve done as Ole Miss Rebels but also what their futures likely hold at the next level.

For seniors the Shrine Game is the last chances they have to make an impression on fans and also NFL scouts who are there in St. Petersburg to grade the new NFL Draft class. All four of these Rebels were looked at by the scouts and of course they could all hear their names called when the 2019 NFL Draft takes place.

Beginning with senior QB Jordan Ta’amu who was the focus of many NFL scouts and one team in particular had a pretty good game. Ta’amu extended some plays and made some big throws in the East loss going 7 of 10 for 98 yards. While Jordan had to share equal time with some other great senior QBs during the game it was obvious Ta’amu garnered his own share of attention from the NFL scouts who watched the week-long practices.

Next up Sean Rawlings  who was center for Ole Miss football the past 4 seasons. Rawlings has exemplified the epitome of being a Ole Miss Rebels lineman and even more so as a team leader for the Rebels over the past four seasons. In his Rebels career Rawlings has started 43 games over four years at one of the toughest positions in college football.

Then there is senior NWO and Ole Miss wide receiver DaMarkus Lodge who has been solid for Ole Miss over the past two seasons. Lodge has produced as a former Rebel receiver and the NFL scouts saw it last week throughout the practices leading up to the game. Saturday Lodge was limited but he shone thru the weeks practices which is very important.

Then there is senior defensive back Zedrick Woods who was also invited to take part in the game. Woods finished his career at Ole Miss as one of the best defensive backs during his tenure. Davis will certainly have a future at the next level like the other Rebels who were invited to take part in the invite-only senior showcase game.
