So 2018 is over and besides excitement over Ole Miss basketball there is the 2019 edition of Ole Miss baseball which begins soon.

After a very disappointing football season Rebels fans have taken a sudden interest in Ole Miss basketball. However, there is also a buzz being created around the 2019 edition of Ole Miss baseball. Early preseason rankings for the 2019 Diamond Rebels have them sitting in the national spotlight sitting at No.11.

Despite the 2018 season coming to a disappointing end in the Oxford regional against Tennessee Tech there was plenty for the Rebels to celebrate. Coach Mike Bianco and the Rebels won the 2018 SEC Tournament and a share of the SEC West Division. Of course, the Rebels finished the 2018 season with a 48-17 record and a No.15 spot in the D1Baseball rankings.

2019 is a new season of course and the Rebels baseball team reloaded from the loss of some great players in 2018 due to both graduation and the 2018 MLB Draft. It hasn’t been an easy task for coach Mike Bianco to field a better team than which he has already seen during his tenure but this could be the year he does. Is this the year coach Bianco makes his mark? For now we begin with the skipper.
