The New Faces

As with any new season there is a new roster with new players and 2019 is no exception. Of the 38 players on the 2019 roster there are ten freshmen who we can be sure will be exciting to watch on the field. Naturally we expected to see Bianco continue to bring in good young talent on the field and on the mound and these ten freshmen are very good.

Among the ten new freshmen there are five new pitchers. The new freshmen pitchers include RHP/IF Gunnar Hogland of Hudson, Florida, LHP Kaleb Hill of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, LHP Doug Nikhazy of Windemere, Florida, RHP Logan Savell of Madison, Mississippi and RHP Jacob Steinberg of Germantown, Maryland.

Coach Mike Bianco is a very good scout when it comes to recruiting young talent and in recent seasons, we’ve seen both freshmen and junior college transfers contribute greatly to the Rebels success. We can be sure there will be several new faces who see significant playing time in the 2019 season and will find success.
