Since Ole Miss football fans are finding a difficult ‘choice’ in todays Super Bowl there are some of us who are hoping the commercials are the winners.

With no former Rebels players on either team in the Super Bowl there are many Ole Miss football fans who have resorted to the SEC Network and Dukes of Hazzard reruns. Look with no clear team on Super Bowl Sunday some of us are just hoping the Pats lose. Being a Giants fans I have a fond disliking for the Pats. Also one of my best friends is from Boston, a huge Pats fan and a hard critic of Eli Manning for obvious reasons.

While I can’t be too critical of Pats coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, both of whom have had outstanding New England careers, it doesn’t mean I have to like them or cheer for them today. So today like a number of other Rebels I will be hoping to see the Pats lose and the Rams win and for great commercials.

Over the years Ole Miss football fans have had their own special Super Bowl moments and watched as a number of former Rebels have picked up their Super Bowl trophies and their rings. Tonight there is little doubt of seeing a great game by the two best teams in the NFL and just maybe our favorite team will win. Mine doesn’t happen to be playing and I’m guessing yours isn’t either.

We Always Have Commercials

Over the years we have also seen some great commercials during the Super Bowl. Every year the top companies in the United State pay billions of dollars on advertising and Super Bowl Sunday has always produced some of the best. Tonight will be no different and just maybe the commercials will beat the game on the field.

Most of you know I spend a lot of time on social media. This morning I noticed a post in the Facebook group Rebel Nation. While I won’t mention names here there was a post by a group admin asking who we had in the game tonight? While I thought of which team I would want to see win and I knew it was New England I read the comments.

So while you may not know me personally and then again you might, I love Rebel Nation and I’m always in there. I post a large number of articles there, mostly my own and I have made some great friends. I have also made my own share of critics but hey I love them too and they contribute to me hopefully getting better at what I love to do. At any rate, this morning in the post one comment jumped out. “The Clydesdales” was a comment by a group member which for some of us will be the obvious choice and it really made me chuckle.

Next. Less Than Two Weeks!. dark

So tonight the NFL will crown a new Super Bowl champion and some of us have invested into one team or the other. Tonight Skip will invest in “The Clydesdales” and hope the Pats lose to the best team in the NFL this season and a great commercial. Hotty Toddy and go Rams!
