Coach Mike Bianco and Ole Miss baseball were back in action Tuesday evening as they host the UT-Martin Skyhawks at Swayze Field.
Ole Miss baseball (5-2) was back in action Tuesday night after coming off a road series win over undefeated Tulane. The Rebels went to New Orleans and took two of three games from the Green Wave and were looking to stay in the win column in their midweek game against the UT-Martin Skyhawks (3-4).
Despite allowing 4 runs in the first the Rebels bounced back in the bottom of the frame to tie the game at 4-4 after the first. The Skyhawks added 1 run in the top of he second but Ole Miss blew the game open in the bottom of the third to take the 9-5 lead.
UTM cut into the Rebels lead with 1 run in the top of the fifth but the Rebels answered in the bottom and had a 10-6 lead into the sixth. Ole Miss added 1 run in the bottom of the sixth and 1 run in the bottom of the seventh to get the 12-6 Tuesday night win. We look at the numbers.

In the 12-6 midweek win there were 8 Rebels who combined for 12 hits with three Rebels having multiple hit games. Leading all Rebels at the plate was senior Ryan Olenek who went 3 for 4. Olenek, who also saw time on the mound, had 1 RBI in the game.
Sophomores Cole Zabowski and Tim Elko both went 2 for 4 at the plate. Zabowski had 1 HR and 3 RBI. Sophomore Anthony Servideo went 1 for 2 in the game.
Senior Chase Cockrell and sophomores Carl Gindl and Tyler Keenan each went 1 for 3 at the plate. Gindl had 4 RBI while Keenan had 2 RBI. Keenan had 1 HR. Junior Thomas Dillard went 1 for 4 with 1 HR and 1 RBI.
On The Mound
Sophomore left-hander Jordan Fowler drew the start on the hill for coach Mike Bianco and the Rebels. Fowler went for 1.2 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits. Fowler had 2 Ks and 3 BB. Bianco went to the bullpen early and senior right-hander Connor Green entered in the second going 2.1 innings allowing just 1 hit with 2 Ks. Freshman right-hander Kaleb Hill entered in the fifth and went 1.0 inning allowing 1 earned run on 2 hits. Hill had 1 K.
Junior right-hander Taylor Broadway entered in the sixth and went for 2.0 innings allowing 0 earned runs on just 1 hit. Broadway had 3 Ks. Sophomore Max Cioffi entered in the eighth and went for 1.0 inning allowing 0 hits with 2 Ks. Senior center-fielder Ryan Olenek entered in the 9th and closed out the night on the mound for the Rebels. Olenek allowed O hits and had 2 Ks.
