Expect Vanilla?

There is little doubt the 2019 Ole Miss football season will be very exciting to watch. Of course, there are players we are keeping eyes on in the Grove Bowl and itching to see how they perform in the spring game. While we will get to see the Rebels in action and finally see some of what the future holds it is very likely the spring game will only be a sliver of what we’ll see in the season.

Coach Matt Luke doesn’t like to show his full hand this early hence the closed practice sessions and little contact with the media. We have watched Luke do the same thing the past two seasons and it comes as no surprise now. Factor in two new coordinators who were former Power 5 head coaches and injured Rebels we will likely not see much more than a glorified scrimmage.
