The RB Position

This is a position group which has seen success over the past seasons and 2019 should be no different. Saturday we watched as the Rich Rod run game racked up 235 yards on the ground against a pretty good defense. This was without senior RB Scottie Phillips who was held out of the Grove Bowl because of injury. However, we did see some great runs and production.

Leading all Rebels on the ground was true freshman Snoop Conner who had 10 carries for 52 yards. Sophomore Isaiah Woullard had 10 carries for 40 yards while junior D’Vaughn Pennamon, who was out of the 2018 season has returned to form with 8 carries for 27 yards. This will be a great backfield in 2019 and should see success providing they can stay healthy and wind up with a good front to run behind.
