Dontario Drummond, WR

Senior Dontario Drummond was another Ole Miss wide receiver who recently announced he would be returning for a fifth-year senior season in 2021. This is awesome news for Ole Miss football fans. With the departure of Elijah Moore, there will be a space to fill for the next great Rebels wideout and OHT believes Drummond will be the guy.

While many Ole Miss football fans knew little about Drummond before he came to Oxford, Dontario had already made a name for himself. Out of Laurel, Mississippi, Drummond wound up at East Mississippi Community College where he was outstanding. In two seasons, Drummond had 95 receptions for 1,466 yards and 21 touchdowns.

With DK Metcalf in 2019 and Elijah Moore in 2020, Drummond didn’t see as many touches as he will in 2021. However, in 2020 Drummond had 25 receptions for 417 yards and 7 touchdowns. In 2021 Drummond should be the focus receiver for the Rebels in the Kiffin/Lebby offense. Will he be the next great Ole Miss receiver? OHT says YES.
