November 20 Ole Miss football will face off against the Vanderbilt Commodores at The Vaught in Oxford. In 2020 the Rebels dominated the Dores to the tune of a 54-21 beat down in Nashville. With the game being played in Oxford in 2021 we could expect it to as bad or worse. The 2020 edition of Vandy football wound up with an 0-9 record. However, Vandy is not exactly a bad team.
In the 2020 season, the Dores had some close games. In the season-opener, the Dores fell to No.10 Texas A&M in a 17-12 decision. The Dores played Miss State to a 24-17 loss in Starville and then a 38-35 loss to Kentucky in Lexington. The Commodores can play well at times but just aren’t consistent.
Vandy has always been a team that can cause Ole Miss fits. If you look back over the years the Rebels have dropped games they should have won. In 2021 this won’t be the case. The Rebels have too much talent on both sides of the ball for the Dores to get this win. Rebels roll through the Dores in this game.
