Saturday, September 11 will mark game-two of the 2021 Ole Miss football season. The Rebels will be back in the Vaught for the first home game of the season and will be facing the Austin Peay Governors coached by Scotty Walden. Austin Peay is a Division I FCS team who is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.

In the 2020 college football season, the Governors were 0-3 with their season cut short due to Covid-19. They had a 24-17 loss to Central Arkansas in their season opener followed by a 55-0 loss at Pittsburgh and a 55-20 loss at Cincinnati. This meeting will be nothing more than a glorified practice for the Rebels.
