September 18 will be the Rebels’ third game on the 2021 schedule as they play host to the Tulane Green Wave. Tulane, formerly a member of the SEC, is a member of the American Athletic Conference.

Tulane is coached by Willie Fritz who is entering his sixth season as head coach for the Green Wave. In 2020, Tulane posted a 6-6 record with key wins over Southern Miss, Temple, East Carolina, Army, and Memphis State.

The Green Wave’s regular-season culminated in an invitation to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in which Tulane suffered a 37-28 loss to Nevada. While Ole Miss should win this game easily, there is room to be cautious.
