Ole Miss football’s Quinshon Judkins quickly became one of the premier players in college football this past season. A cornerstone of the Ole Miss offense, he helped the Rebels amass over 3,000 total rushing yards in 2022. Unfortunately for NFL teams, Judkins won’t be available for another couple of years.
In fact, Judkins was only 18 years old for the majority of the Rebels season this past year, his 19th birthday being on the day the Rebels defeated Texas A&M in week nine of the season.
He spearheaded one of the most dynamic backfields in the country along with running mate Zach Evans.
The talented true Freshman running back ran for 1,567 yards this past season on 274 carries. That was good enough for 5.7 yards per clip. He was seventh overall in the country for rushing yards, the only Freshman in the top 10.
Judkins also accounted for 16 rushing touchdowns, good enough for 10th overall in the country. He ranks in the top 10 in just about every rushing category in 2022. He also added 132 yards and another touchdown in the receiving category.
The honors have rolled in aplenty for the talented freshman since the conclusion of the 2022 season and he may not be done receiving them yet.
Quinshon Judkins was also awarded the Conerly Trophy which is given annually to the best college football player in the state of Mississippi as well as being named first-team all-SEC for his performance this past season.
There is no doubt a bright future ahead for the talented Judkins and Ole Miss football fans should be excited about the future possibilities of the Ole Miss offense going forward.
Being named a Freshman All-American is likely just the latest award in a long line of awards that have already come and are still to come for the Rebel running back.
