Mana Taimani, JUCO OL, chooses Ole Miss

Ole Miss has been at the top of the college transfer news lately as Lane Kiffin has been adding a plethora of veteran talent to the Ole Miss football roster. The latest transfer addition to the Rebels football program is Junior College transfer offensive lineman Mana Taimani.

Taimani is coming to Oxford from Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill California. He spent two years at Wyoming as a backup before transferring to play in junior college.

Originally from  Concord, California,  Taimani was rated as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2020.

He is rated as the number 10 overall junior college offensive tackle in the nation and the number four junior college player in California.

The 6’5, 310-pound tackle will add some much-needed depth to the offensive line after losing three starters from a year ago.

Taimani chose Ole Miss over Oklahoma State and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

4-star linebacker Kolaj Cobbins has Ole Miss on narrowed list

While Lane Kiffin has been lighting it up in the transfer portal, the Rebels coaching staff hasn’t quite given up working the high school recruiting ranks just yet.

One of the top high school players in the country for the 2024 class has Ole Miss listed in his top six. Kolaj Cobbins, a 6’3, 210-pound linebacker released the list of his top schools last night and the Rebels made the cut.

Cobbins is considering Ole Miss along with LSU, Texas, Michigan, Oregon, and Colorado. The Destrehan, Louisiana native is ranked as the 160th overall player in the country and 4th overall player in the state of Louisiana for the 2024 class in the ESPN Junior 300.

In November Cobbins told Inside The Rebels:

"“Ole Miss is definitely a place I could see myself. I love it. I love the atmosphere, the weather. I don’t mind leaving far from home. I like the coaching staff. I could see myself in the ‘Sip”"
