Ole Miss baseball continued their dominant start to the 2023 season notching another blowout win against the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

The Rebels started slow but would end up winning the contest 11-3 on Tuesday night. The winning effort was bolstered by back-to-back home runs in the second inning from Will Furniss and Tywone Malone, who was also a top football recruit last year for the Rebels.

Freshman right-hander JT Quinn was the starter on the mound for Ole Miss and pitched four innings. Six more pitchers would appear in the contest for the Rebels.

Ole Miss is now 4-0 on the year and their lowest run total in any game so far is 10.

More Ole Miss news: Lady Rebels narrowly lose in an overtime thriller with number one ranked South Carolina.

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team dropped their second game in a row for just the second time this season to top-ranked South Carolina. A week ago the Lady Rebels picked up their 20th win on the season after beating Kentucky in blowout fashion 74-52.

The Lady Rebels reached the 20-win mark for the second season in a row for the first time since the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons.

In the win, Senior Guard Angel Baker also reached a milestone scoring over 2,000 points in her collegiate career with the Rebels, just the fourth player to do so in program history.

After hitting the 20-win mark, the Lady Rebels have now gone 0-2 after dropping games to LSU and South Carolina. While there are no moral victories, these losses were to two of the top teams in the country as LSU is ranked 5th overall and South Carolina is ranked first.

The Lady Rebels will wrap their season up with two games left on the year, the first against Missouri on February 23 and then against a strong Alabama team on the 26th.
