Its Week 6 in college football and Ole Miss are at the Vaught Hemingway Stadium again, this time against Arkansas. A few hours ago, Lane Kiffin gave his thoughts on the up coming opponent.

First thing that Kiffin addressed was how challenging Arkansas will be. He brought up last years game, where the Razorbacks raced to a 35-6 lead at the half.

"“This is a very challenging opponent, i know they have lost a few in a row, but they took LSU down to the wire, at LSU, and they have caused us a lot of problems” Lane Kiffin"

Kiffin mentioned that despite the tremendous win against LSU, the team still has a lot of things to work on. He mentioned the defense needs to be better and also the penalty count, noting there was some selfish ones on the teams part.

When asked about Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson, Kiffin said he always seems to bring his best game against us. He’s not wrong either, Jefferson always seems to light it up on the big occasions. As mentioned earlier by Kiffin, Arkansas pushed LSU very close two weeks ago, a lot of that was Jefferson dragging his team along.

Kiffin, his staff and players were also thanked by a member of the media for the win over rivals LSU. Kiffin thanked him for the message, however, still had time to say he would have liked to end the game quicker.

"“Obviously i wish we would have ended it earlier and not left them any time on the clock, or caught the interception when he threw it to us, but maybe everything happens for a reason” Lane Kiffin"

Kiffin mentioned again the things that didn’t go right in the game, so it was easier to grab the players attention in the build up to this weeks game.

Also, bringing up what has happened before doesn’t mean anything going forward. Forgetting the past game, forgetting the demolishing they received at the hands of Arkansas last season, focusing on this Saturday and what they can do to win the game.

Kiffin also praised Sam Pittman, saying his teams play tough, physical football. They run the ball really well and play to the style of Pittman coming from an offensive line coach background.

Kiffin expects the run game to be even better for Arkansas this Saturday. Raheim “Rocket” Sanders is making his way back from injury, appearing for the first time last weekend since week 1.

It won’t be clear how much rust he’s shaken off, however, he will be much better. Sanders rushed for over 200 yards and 3 TDS in last seasons game between the two teams.

Kiffin finished off by saying how great it is to have offensive pieces back and healthier. Prieskorn and Harris are important guys for Jaxson Dart and that showed on Saturday. On top of that, Zakhari Franklin also getting healthier is a big positive.

It’s a big game for Ole Miss, can they notch another win before entering their bye week.
